The 4th of July is always a great holiday. It is really hectic but in the end I always enjoy it. This year was no different. The cannonade woke me up at 6 a.m. ( it didn't seem to be as loud this year, maybe I was extra tired.) Then of course I have to get everyone up and ready for the PARADE. Can't forget breakfast before the candy they get at the parade. Liz was riding on the Cinderella float so she had to be lined up on one side of town at 9:15 and then I had to be on the other side of town before the parade started. Whew!
Shane didn't really get the whole parade thing this year but he just chilled why the rest of us enjoyed it.
After the parade Liz danced at the park, performing her talent from Cinderella.
Then the kids wanted to stay at the park and play on all the over priced blow ups. After we were able to round them all up we came home for some water fun.
I ended up having to work this year, but we were slow enough that we were able to close early and I made it home for FIREWORKS! I was so excited to make it home in time for Shane's first Fireworks show. He really enjoyed them although half the time he spent exploring.
After the city fireworks we had some of our own and then it was time to get exhausted, bug spray covered children cleaned up and into their beds.
Until next year or should I say the 24th of July!

Love the pictures Sarah!! The one of Stockton at the parade totally threw me off. He looks a lot like Sean in that pic. So fun!! We need to come down and visit again. Hopefully we'll be in our house soon and we can make a trip.
